ISO and File Size

ISO -International Organization for Standardization
  • measures how sensitive the film is to light.
  • When you are trying to take a picture in the dark you should use a high sensitivity.
PROBLEM: with a high ISO the picture will have a lot of visual noise what makes the picture grainy and lower quality.
  • You should use a low sensitivity when you are taking a picture in the brightness because the daylight already gives light to images.

File Size

  • File Size includes Resolution.
Resolution is the width and height of a picture.
  • It also includes the pixels in the image.
Having more pixels -> picture can be larger without getting grainy
