Lenses
All lenses affect: focus, film exposure, angle of view and depth of field
The main types of lenses are:
- The camera lens is located in the front of the camera body and gathers the light from the subject. It allows you to focus and controls the light that reaches the film.
- The fixed lens is permanently attached to the camera body. Most cameras with a fixed lens are compact and have limited versatility.
- The interchangeable lens is removable and you can replace it with other lenses for wide range of use.
White Balance
The White Balance setting makes sure that a white colored space in your picture looks as white as it really is or not is.

ISO and File Size
ISO -International Organization for Standardization
- measures how sensitive the film is to light.
- When you are trying to take a picture in the dark you should use a high sensitivity.
PROBLEM: with a high ISO the picture will have a lot of visual noise what makes the picture grainy and lower quality. - You should use a low sensitivity when you are taking a picture in the brightness because the daylight already gives light to images.
File Size
- File Size includes Resolution.
Resolution is the width and height of a picture. - It also includes the pixels in the image.
Having more pixels -> picture can be larger without getting grainy
